Late Jisk Knijpstra started business in 1936; it started out as a car-recycling company. In the years it has changed to a construction company which supplies for the car, bus and bicycle industry.  After his son Hette took control of the company in 1974, a construction-company / machine-factory developed, which has become a cooperation between several independent companies with different disciplines in which approx. 65 people work.
