Ancient boatyard upgrades to the highest standards
Greek family owned boatyard Koupetoris from the island of Salamina in Greece took the decision to upgrade their ancient boatyard facilities – founded 1878 – to be able to serve all needs of wealthy boat-owners but also local fisherman.
First thing to do was to gather all information from manufacturers of boat-handling equipment world wide. After some products were selected, they choose Roodberg to help them in getting the best solution for their circumstances. As Dimitris Koupetoris said;
”originally we were very impressed by the Roodberg Hoist which recovers boats on a ramp and wanted to order it straight away. But after a 2 days journey looking at different Roodberg solutions, we understood why the Roodberg boat-handling specialist “refused” to sell us this Power Slipway Hoist. I have to admit that firstly we were very surprised finding a company who did not want to sell what we asked for, but now we are very grateful and thank them for supplying us a different and much better solution in stead. Because of there advise we have been able to save a large amount of money and we can park much more boats ashore as originally planned. Another issue which we did not really look at when we wanted to purchase the Hoist was the costs for pavement on our yard. Especially in this respect, again we saved a large amount of money working with the Roodberg Launch- and Recovery Solution in stead!”
